Amos Wesley Goff passed away December 18th, 2022 in Glen Rose, Texas. Wes was born on January 23rd, 1969 in Odessa, Texas. He grew up in Lovington, New Mexico and graduated from Lovington High School in 1987. He served in the Air Force Pararescue and Special Forces Combat Control Units from 1988-1992, serving in Desert Storm. After his military service, Wes began his 29 year career in the oil and gas industry. He was employed with Geodynamics in Millsap, Texas.
Wes is survived by his beloved son Kody Goff of Glen Rose, stepdaughter Keegan Moorhead and stepson Kyran Moorhead, his mother Carolyn Atchley of Glen Rose, his father Marion Goff of Weatherford, his aunt Bobbie Gray of Lovington, NM and uncle James Roland of Gardendale, his sister Laura Mannon of Glen Rose, his three brothers Jason Goff of Weatherford, Scott Goff of Tyler and Rodney Hamilton of Aledo. Other survivors that enriched Wes’s life with love & laughter were Cliff Mannon, his brother-in-law and Wes’s girlfriend Courtney Coffman who brought him laughter and joy. He thoroughly enjoyed all his friends and co-workers at Geodynamics and the men in his Cowtown Men’s Health Association.
Wes loved spending time fishing with friends/family, playing golf, cooking out on the grill with good music playing and having a drink relaxing by an open fire at the end of the day. Wes was a people person and never met a stranger in this life. He was and will remain a light to all that knew and loved him. A celebration of his beautiful life will be held at a date to be determined.
