Mary Patricia Schusler went to be with her heavenly father on Thursday, April 22, 2021.

 

Memorial Service:  2:00 P.M., April 27, 2021, Biggers Funeral Chapel, Fort Worth, Texas

 

Mary was also known to be called, Patricia, Patti, and “Old Granny”. Granny will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, aunt, cousin, grandmother, and friend to many. She will be missed more than words can say. Heaven got an angel back this week.

 

Mary lived a wonderful life full of love and excitement. She was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to Ellen and George Stengle, along with her sister, Penny Daugherty. Mary lived in various parts of the country, but quickly found her home with Jim Schusler in Fort Worth, Texas. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, reading, cooking, going to the beach, visiting every store in town, and dressing up in costumes.

 

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Ellen and George Stengle; her sister, Penny Daugherty and son, Timeny Schusler.

 

Mary is survived by her children, Jamie Schusler, Stacie Schusler, and Jessica Schusler; her grandchildren, Breahna Wheeler, Logan Smith, Bailey Kerwick, Stolie Erickson, and Ryder Erickson; niece, Linda Daugherty and nephew, Duffy Daugherty.

Patti, A bedrock on our little street. A mainstay in our Lake Country community, who left little sprinkles of herself in our lives, on this street. Through her encouragement, goodness, non-judgementalism, kindness, care, and serving others. So many times she would stop to compliment me on my yard art, my Christmas tree, my hairstyle, or just to give an encouraging word. Then, all the times I saw her helping others. The vivid example of her stedfast love for her daughters. These were acts that show forth the witness of her faith. The impression on the hearts and minds of her neighbors. Her little lighted candle glowed on our street. Now, there is such a void here and she is sorely missed. These are just small accounts of her testimony she left on this earth. Though she was unaware, she made such a difference here. There is a now a void on our street since she has passed. Our hearts and prayers go out to all her family. Jamie and Stacy, we are so sorry for your loss. Love and life in Jesus, Jerry and Brenda.
