Nanci Carlisle, 89, of Azle passed away April 26, 2019.
Visitation: 10 to 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 29, 2019 at Biggers Funeral Home Chapel.
Service: 11:00 A.M. Monday, in Biggers Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment: Private services, Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Nanci was born in Roy, New Mexico to Ann and James Jameson. As a child, her family, including sisters, Ann and Sallie, moved to Shreveport Louisiana where she attended Fair Park High School. After graduation, she moved to New York City, where she attended Queens College and worked at Macy’s Department store. She also performed in Children’s Operettas touring across the U.S.
She moved back home to Shreveport where she met her husband, Arthur Carlisle at Barksdale AFB. They were stationed around the country before retiring to Azle, on Eagle Mountain Lake. Nanci was an amazing mother to her two daughters, Heidi and Kelli. Animals and children were truly her joy. She was passionate about her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a kind and loving soul who always put others first.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Carlisle; parents, James and Ann Jameson; sister, Ann Miller, and nephew, Donn Miller.
Survivors: Nanci is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Heidi and Marvin Smith, Kelli and Bobby Guess; grandchildren, Ryan Smith, Staci Martinez (Sabino), Lauri Harris (Andy), Tabitha Butler (Chad), Adam Guess (Alicia), Micah Guess, Ariel Bennett (Dane); seven great-grandchildren, Gracie, Sean, Miley, Cali, Mason, Max and Macy; sister and brother-in-law. Sallie and Rex Sandifer; sister-in-law, Marilyn Stoudt; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
