BURLESON — Nesbit Lee Jordan, 85, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014, in Fort Worth.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Sunday at Wiley Funeral Home. Interment: Squaw Creek Cemetery in Rainbow.
Mr. Jordan was born July 12, 1928, in Jefferson to Nesbit Lee Childress Sr. and Faye Fisher Childress. He married Kathleen Wenger on April 10, 1952, in Fort Worth. He received a bachelor’s degree in law enforcement from Texas Christian University. He lived in Fort Worth most all of his life. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He served as a police officer in Fort Worth for 15 years and with Burlington-Northern Railroad for 20 years. He also served as a Texas Ranger, juvenile probation officer and in the security offices at Texas Christian University.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and his wife, Kathleen, in 1995.
Survivors: Son, Dr. Dan Jordan of Houston; daughters, Deborra Davis and husband, Randall, of Decatur and Robin Dews and husband, Jack, of Burleson; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
