Neta Mae Light

LIPAN — Neta Mae Light, 87, passed away Monday, Mar. 28, 2016, in Lipan.
Funeral: 10:00 a.m. Friday, Apr. 1, 2016, at Lipan First Baptist Church.
Burial: Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lipan Chapel in Lipan.
Memorials: Donations may be made to Lipan First Baptist Church Building Fund, Lipan Fire Department or Lipan Fair Fund.
Neta Mae was born Sept. 13, 1928 to William Jackson Clary and Cena Reece Clary. She met and married the love of her life, R.E. Light, on Dec. 28, 1948 and had four children. R.E. preceded her in death in March 2001; their oldest son, Terry, also preceded her in death in December 2014.
Neta loved her God first, family second and community third and this showed through the countless hours of service that she worked at the school and after she retired from the school. She also loved Lipan Basketball and even though she didn’t know anything about it, TCU football. She learned when they threw that yellow flag TCU had done something wrong.
Survivors: Son, Robert Light; daughter-in-law, Paula Light; daughters, Brenda Rogoski, Marla Wheeler and husband, Rickey, Rhonda Millington, Renee Martin and husband, Virgil, all of Lipan; grandchildren, Courtney and Miranda Davis, Sarah Davis, Amy Burtnett and fiancé Brian Harper, Tonye Grauman and husband, Todd, Cristen Rogoski, Adam Rogoski, Shea Light, Kyle Wheeler, Kayla Wheeler, Jake Martin, Katelyn Martin, Tom Baker and wife, Amanda, Jennifer Wolf and husband, Brett, and Mark Millington and wife, great grandchild, Duke Blankenship; Amanda; sisters-in-law, Marguerite Arnot of Victoria, Louise Hageman of Cisco, and her special little slave driver, Leeann Tarpley; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
