The Lord called Norma Lee Wright, 84, home this Wednesday, July 6, 2022, in Granbury, Texas. She was born July 31, 1937, to James Howard and Ruby Evelyn Massey Burk, in Lawton, Oklahoma.
A Graveside Service will be held at 12:30pm, Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Squaw Creek Cemetery, Rainbow, Texas. The visitation is prior to the service at 11:00am at Wiley Funeral Home in Glen Rose, Texas.
Those who knew Norma knew she had a gift for caring for others. She was kind and loving, but above all, selfless. To know Norma was to love her. She implemented this gift as a Caregiver not only in her career in the medical field, but in every aspect of her life, and all her friends and family admired and loved her dearly. She enjoyed spending time with her friends at “Thirsty Thursdays” and “Coffee with Norma,” which she created to make new residents feel welcome and at home. But what Norma loved and cherished most was her family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and will be missed by all.
Norma was preceded in death by, her parents, her husband Lona Jay Wright, her son Jamie, and her great granddaughter Hattie.
Norma leaves behind to cherish her memory, son Jay Wright and wife Amy, daughter Laynee Bitters and husband Bob, daughter Gloria Hagan and husband Mike, God-son Jerry Wooley, grandchildren Brad and wife Janeen, Will and Derek, Chance and Britlynn, Ethan and Kylie, great-grandchildren Shannon and Tulah, Clara, Rory, Kierston, Jamie, Samantha, and Alia.
