My deepest condolences to the family. May God's future promises at John 5:28,29 of an earthly resurrection and Revelation 21:3,4 of no more suffering or death bring you comfort. Until that time comes, God assures us at Psalm 34:18 that he "is close to the brokenhearted" and "saves those who are crushed in spirit." So he understands your pain and grief and is eager to help you by giving you the strength you need to cope during this most difficult time. (Philippians 4:13)

My condolences to the family on the loss of your loved one. Losing someone you love is truly difficult and I know Norman will be missed. Please know our Heavenly Father holds out promises that can help us with our sorrow. One such promise is that death soon will be done away with forever (Revelation 21:4) and another promise is that "there is going to be a resurrection." (Acts 24:15). I pray these promises from God, who cannot lie, (Titus 1:2) brings you comfort. For more comfort from the Bible visit www . jw . org.

Norman and I never met in real life, but he made me feel as though we'd been lifelong friends through our connection on Facebook. We shared similar views on life and similar concerns for the United Methodist Church we both loved. We had many thoughtful and stimulating conversations and we prayed for each other regularly. He was an extraordinary "ordinary" man, and he will be missed by many people. Rest in peace, Norman; you fought the good fight, and you finished your race. We will remember you.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Norman was part of the Methodist Center at Tarleton State University. At that time he was part of everyone who walked inside. He is a friend and always offered a time to listen.

Norman was a mentor to me when I was a fledgling UM pastor back in the late 80s. He helped me through a rough patch. I'll miss him.
