LIPAN — Normia “Granny” Spikes, 72, passed away Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, in Lipan.
Graveside services were held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at the Cumby Cemetery in Wise County, Texas. A visitation with family and friends was held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Spikes was born Apr. 5, 1941, in Dublin, Texas, to T.J. and Addie Haley McKinney. She married Charles David Spikes, Aug. 15, 1955, in Fort Worth. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Survivors: Husband, Charles David Spikes of Lipan; children, Louise Hennsley and husband, Wayne, of Lipan, Kenneth David Spikes and wife, Melissa, of Lipan, Diane Lynn Cohlmeyer of Lipan; eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and sister, Katie Earles and husband, John, of Lipan.
