GRANBURY — Oakley Ostrander, 73, passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 in Fort Worth, TX. Service: 11 a.m. Monday at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury, TX. Interment: 3:30 p.m. in Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady, TX. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials: American Cancer Society. A memorial service will be held in San Diego, CA. at a later date.
Oakley was born Feb. 20, 1940 in San Diego, CA. to William Ostrander and Joann Nashold Ostrander. He married Linda Charlene White on July 30, 2005 in Fort Worth, TX. He served in the U.S. Navy reserves, was a retired airline captain for U.S. Airways and P.S.A. Airlines and loved flying. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Antique Aircraft Association. He loved his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and his wife. He enjoyed traveling, guns, old cars and yard work.
Survivors: Wife, Linda Ostrander of Granbury, TX; daughter, Lisa and husband, Tom Peddie of San Diego, CA.; son, Blaine and wife, Amber Ostrander of San Diego, CA.; grandchildren, Sheena Peddie, Holly Peddie, Jake Peddie and Madelyn Ostrander all of San Diego, CA.; great granddaughter, Diamond Peddie of San Diego, CA.; and sisters, Audry Pappas of Las Vegas, NV. and Eve Ostrander of Yerington, NV.
