TOLAR — Lee “Otis” Elliott, 86, passed away Monday, Feb. 10, 2015, at his Tolar residence.
Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, at Tolar Church of Christ. Burial: Nubbin Ridge Cemetery in Hood County. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Foster’s Childrens Home in Stephenville, Texas.
Otis was born Sept. 8, 1928, in Shields, Texas, to Clarence and Cora Russell Elliott. He married Eva Sue White, March 8, 1952, in Granbury. He had lived in Tolar since 1989 and was a member of Tolar Church of Christ. He retired as a machinist from Hydra Rig. Otis enjoyed playing music, gardening, fishing for catfish, hunting with his boys and all things in nature. But most of all he loved his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons, Marshall and Keith, great grandson, Scooter Goodrich, four brothers and four sisters.
Survivors: Wife of almost 63 years, Eva Sue Elliott of Tolar; daughters, Susie Mannis and Garry Hose of Grandview, Brenda Hixson of Tolar; sons, Robert Elliott and wife, Pam, of Alvarado, Kenneth Elliott and wife, Janice, of Acton; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and sister, Ann Winsett and Du Wayne of Godley; daughter-in-law, Della Lowell of Fla.
