Pastor Jack “Pappy Jack a.k.a. Happy Jack” Snyder, 68, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Fullness in Christ Church, 8895 Random Road. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Biggers Funeral Home.

Jack was born March 4, 1946, in Texas City to Jack E. Sr. and Ethel Snyder. He had been an area resident since 2008 and was a quality control manager for Yates Construction Co. He was an ordained minister and the author of “Journey Through Faith.”

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Snyder; children, Mary Stephens and husband, Kyle, and Glinda Hubbard and husband, Leslie, of Odessa and Ouida Petrie of Bastrop; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three dogs who will miss him very much.
