Patricia “Pat” DeLong MacWhorter, 78, passed away July 12, 2016 in Granbury, Texas.
Service: 1:00 PM Friday, July 15, 2016, New Braunfels Church of Christ
Interment: Hill Country Memorial Gardens.
Pat was born on December 25, 1937 in El Paso, Texas to Leonard and Hattie Denton. She loved cats, Diet Coke and enjoyed reading. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed her church and shared that joy with her children. She was a hard worker, who worked for 30 years at the phone company. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband: Dave Alex DeLong, her son: Robert “Bobby” Dave DeLong, and her brothers: Jerry Denton and Carl Denton.
Pat is survived by her husband: John MacWhorter, children: Leslie Stain and husband Gary, Rick DeLong and wife Malinda, grandchildren: Kristin Luft and husband Garrett, Shelley Fietz and husband Ben, Leah DeLong, Bobby DeLong, great grandchildren: Annie Luft, Hudson Luft, Hayden Luft, Madison Fietz, Jett Fietz, Mayson Fietz, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
