Patsy Ann Whitesell Payne peacefully left this earth to join Jesus on October 25th, 2022 at the age of 85. She was born on January 19, 1937 to Albert Whitesell & Mattie Ward.  Funeral Service:  2:00 pm Sunday October 30, 2022, Wiley Funeral Home Chapel, Granbury; Visitation:  6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday October 28, 2022, Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury, Burial: 11:00 am Friday November 4, 2022, Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.

 

She leaves behind Husband Henry K Payne married for 67 years and 2 days. Her children Sheila Branham & Michael Payne, Grandchildren Amber Branham, Ashley Ray, & Autumn Branham. Great grand Children Aiden, Gavin, and Emery. Siblings Carolyn, Johnny, and countless other family members. She was preceded in death by Parents, Siblings (Albert Jr., Jerry, Sug, Etta, Georgia, Dot).

 

She lived her life filled with love and was the nurturer of all. She spent her time caring for all living and non- living things and taking care of everyone and everything, weather it was hours in her garden, taking care of her children & grandchildren or being the neighborhood caregiver for all of her friends. She was the one everyone could always count on in times of need. She leaves behind a legacy of always showing love and kindness to all and being the shining light for all of her family and friends. She will be greatly missed but will never be forgotten.

 

Patsy loved gardening and could bring life to any flower or plant, and it would flourish. She showered her family and friends with love and was the one who cared for all her friends who preceded her in death with such grace and never asked anything of anyone. Her favorite times were spent with family on mornings and evenings sitting on the front porch at Lake Granbury watching the sunsets and sunrise or watching the hummingbirds (favorite bird) eating from her feeders. She loved her husband, children and grandchildren with an unmatched love that radiated from her.
