Patsy C. Miller (Memaw), 86, passed away Monday, February 21, 2022 at home surrounded by her loved ones.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Biggers Funeral Home followed by dinner at Arizola’s Mexican restaurant to honor the life of Patsy Miller.
A private committal honoring her, and her late husband Odell Miller will be at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 1:00 P.M. on May 3, 2022.
A celebration of life event will be held at 6:00 P.M., April 30, 2022, at the Lake Worth Boat and Ski Club.
Patsy was the oldest sister of her siblings. She became close with them as they spent several years in the children’s home together. As they aged, she and her late sister Louise became best friends. Patsy married Odell Miller in 1954. They had two children, Gregory and Lisa who they raised in Fort Worth. In 1970 they moved to Lakeside and lived on Watercress Street on Lake Worth. They spent time enjoying the lake life and boating and became wonderful friends with neighbors. They loved their yard, the big trees and the view. Sitting and visiting on the deck is something they would do for many years together along with playing cards.
Patsy was an exceptional typist and had a long career as an office manager at Clyde Weber and Reacond associates where she retired. She and Odell also ran Miller trucking LLC from 1986 to 2007. Later in life the two became key members of the Lake Worth boat and ski club and had many friends who were like family. Patsy was the bartender for five years and loved working and all the fun events at the boat club. She was known for looking glamorous and always having a sweet smile and attitude. She took pride in her appearance and always looked put together from her hair, makeup and polished nails. She Loved her coffee and her sweet treats. She collected angels and cherubs which the family would gift her often. She had many small dogs over the years and gave them all a wonderful home. Her last days were spent loving and spoiling Boots. He protected her and never left her side the last five months.
Patsy was known as Memaw and she adored her granddaughters and her great- grandchildren. She provided unconditional love and support and was the true matriarch of the family. Patsy was a excellent conversationalist. Even as she aged, she kept up and knew all the latest trends, fashion, music, sports and especially her politics. Patsy was a fighter. She fought hard and through many obstacles and surgeries over the last 10 years of her life. Cancer destroyed her physically and it was very hard at times, but she could put on a brave face for her family. She passed on Feb 21, 2022 @ 4:44 am. She was able to visit everyone in her immediate family at Christmas and spend quality time with them the last months of her life. Memaw was an Angel on earth and now in heaven where she will join her love Odell. Please join us for a celebration of life on April 30, 2022 at 6 PM at the Lake Worth Boat and ski club.
