BRAZOS POINT — Patsy Dell Scott, 80, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 in Brazos Point.
Graveside service: 1:30 p.m. Monday in Brazos Point Cemetery.
Visitation: 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon Monday at Full Gospel Church in Brazos Point.
Patsy was born May 9, 1935 in the community of Sedwick, Texas to R.W. Sr. and Bonnie Garrett Edgar. She lived in Shackelford County until 1964 when she met and married Carl Scott in Albany, Texas. They moved to Wortham, Texas in Freestone County in 1965 where Patsy was City Secretary for 13 years. She was also a professional seamstress. She and Carl moved to Brazos Point in 1996 where they went into partnership with their son, Daniel Scott in the Stone Quarry Business. Patsy retired after a few years and worked in her yard and had a beautiful garden. She was a member of Full Gospel Church.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, David Gregory; brothers, R.W. Edgar, Jr. and wife, Rayma, James Edgar, Earl Edgar and Jackie Edgar.
Survivors: Husband of 52 years, Carl Scott; son, Daniel Scott and wife, Loretta of Brazos Point; daughters, Mandy Allen and husband, Jim of Kirvin, Texas and Julie Gregory of Mexia, Texas; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brothers, Billy Edgar and wife, Linda of Cisco, Texas, Tommy Edgar and wife, Barbara of Albany, Texas and Rickey Edgar of Albany; a large number of nieces, nephews and cousins as well as friends and a very special aunt of 99 years, Elsie Byrnes.
