Peter B. San Filippo, 98, of Granbury, passed away on Friday, September 07, 2018. Visitation: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Thursday, September 13, 2018, Wiley Funeral Home Chapel, Granbury. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Comanche Peak Marine Corps League, Comanche Peak Detachment 1297 MCL, PO Box 5051, Granbury, Texas 76049.
Peter was born on August 27, 1920 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Sally and James San Filippo. He proudly served his country as a World War II Marine. During that time he met the love of his life, Doris Marie Koch who was also a U.S. Marine. In his later years, he developed a strong bond with his fellow Marines. He was a member of the Marine Corps league for the last eight years. Peter attended First Baptist Church of Granbury. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Doris Marie San Filippo.
Peter is survived by his daughters: Dodie Jordan and husband Bud and Deborah Bell and husband Doug, two grandsons: Douglas and David Bell, brother: Joel San Filippo and wife Rose.
