Will Rogers said, “I never met a man I didn’t like,” but Ralph Vernon Brown took it a step further. Ralph never met a man, woman, child, dog, flower, or car he didn’t like.
Born March 31, 1927, in the rural town of Meridian to Ruth Esther Brown and Alfred Lawrence Brown, Ralph had two brothers and five sisters.
Ralph served in the Army and was part of the military police during the Nuremberg Trials. His life changed forever in 1951 when he married the love of his life, Wynona. They were married for 65 blissful years before her death in May of this year.
Ralph lived a life that could best be described as “selfless.” Many people have been led to Christ by this simple man who let Christ’s love shine through him. Ralph will be missed for many things, silly jokes, a lush landscape, a ready smile, and always a servant’s heart.
Ralph was also preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Ruth Erickson Brown; brothers, Janes Brown and Aaron Brown; and sisters, Helen Truner, Rachel Neal and Mildred Main.
Ralph is survived by: His daughter, Becky Parham; grandchildren, Tara James and husband, Mark, and Rhett Parham; great-grandchildren, Sailer, Sable and Lincoln Janes; sisters, Mary Temple and Vera Scott; and a large extended family.
