Robert “Bob” Yeaman, 79, passed on to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 19, 2016 in Glen Rose, Texas.
Celebration of Life: 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016, at First Christian Church of Granbury.
Interment: Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of First Christian Church of Granbury in memory of Robert Yeaman.
Robert was born on December 24, 1936 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Donald and Hazel Yeaman. He was proud to be one of the five Yeaman brothers and had lots of fond memories growing up. After graduating from Ponca City High School he attended Oklahoma State University where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. While attending college he married the love of his life, Margaret “Peggy” Ginn. They were married for 57 years. After college Robert proudly served his country for six years as an officer in the U. S. Air Force. Upon completion of his service he was a Vice President of Multi National Procurement for Xerox Corporation until retirement.
Robert not only enjoyed international travel during his career, but he and Peggy enjoyed traveling all over the world after his retirement. He loved reading, fishing and bird watching. He performed for many years at the Granbury Opera House. Robert loved going to all athletic events involving his children, grandchildren and all of their friends. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Granbury and held several different positions. He loved spending time with family and friends. If Peggy couldn’t find him all she had to do was look for a baby as he loved all babies. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard.
Survivors: Wife, Peggy Yeaman of Glen Rose; 5 children, Michael Yeaman and wife, Lynne; Debbie Thomas and husband, Pat, Kim Pilcher and husband, Johnny, Robert Yeaman and wife, Cindi and Suzanne Smith and husband, Kody; 15 grandchildren. Austin, Jason, Jennifer, Emmie, Lindsey, Mamie, Kristen, Tara, Marshall, Preston, Carli, Jake, Anna, Taylor and Hunter; 2 great grandchildren, Jackman and Ellis; 3 brothers, John and wife, Kathy, Jerry and wife, Karen and Jim and wife, Susan; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and 2 brothers-in law, Bob Ginn and wife, Ruth and Howard Ginn and wife, Elaine.
