I am sorry to see of Larry Dickson's passing. My dad, Rev Jimmy Phillips, was the pastor at Fist Assembly in San Angelo 1957-1968 ish. I was just a kid, but we knew the Dickson family well and I remember enjoying many Sunday afternoons at their house. Daddy was aware that Larry was pastoring in Grandbury and was very proud of him. Please give my condolences to his family and sister, Mary.

I first met Brother D as a sub teacher at Fulton High School in Fulton MO in 1970. After I graduated I followed he and Sandy to First Assembly in Jefferson City, MO where they became an integral part of my life. Brother D was the most Godly man I have known in my life. His teachings were so from God. I would go to the church to find him lying on the floor in his office praying and seeking God and his countenance shown of being in the presence of the Father. No one will ever know how he ministered to all of us at the church. His and Sandy's door was always open to the young people of the church. What a blessing he was and still is to everyone he came in contact with. Sandy my heart and prayers are with you and the children. So many memories! Your in Christ. Nancy

Rev. Larry Dickson was a giant of a man, as well as a giant of a GODLY man. He never spoke ill of any man or organization. Each and every time I saw him, that smile and deep sincere voice left their impressions. Rest in the arms of Jesus, Dear Brother, you will be missed, but soon we will reunite with You in Heaven.

Dearest Sandy and Family .... sending my deepest and heartfelt sympathy at this time of great loss. Pastor Dickson was beloved by all who were blessed to know him, and his contributions to our Granbury Christian Community are innumerable ... in particular the wonderful Christmas Parade he founded and narrated each year, his leadership of the Lake Granbury Ministerial Alliance, his devoted efforts to the National Day of Prayer remembrances and Breakfasts, and faithfully "shepherding his flock" at Granbury Assembly of God Church for so many years. He will be missed more than any words can ever say. My prayers are with you as you grieve his leaving us, but at the same time celebrate his entrance into his Eternal Home with our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ .... whom he humbly served all of his earthly life. Love and blessings dearest ones .....
