GRANBURY — Robert Alan Lawler, 89, passed away on September 2, 2015 in Granbury, Texas.
Service: 10:00 AM, Tuesday at Wiley Funeral Home Chapel.

Robert was born on April 23, 1926 in Vernon, Texas to Isaac and Carolyn Lanham Lawler. He married Lea Fern Mayo Cobb on October 27, 1977. He lived in Granbury for 38 years. Robert faithfully served his country in the U.S. Navy on the USS Colorado in World War II. He was a 50 year member of the Association of Letter Carriers. He was also a member of the U.S.S. Colorado Alumni Association. Robert enjoyed fishing and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his daughter Peggy Matthews and his son Leslie Lawler.
Survivors: children, Larry Alan & Karlene Lawler of Granbury; Kathy Jordan of Fort Worth; Lyndon Lawler of Bedford; step-children, Eddie and Larry Cob and Debbie Hayes; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
