Robert Arthur Meyer
January 2, 1947 – May 25, 2019
After a long battle with pancreatic cancer, Robert (Bob) Arthur Meyer passed away May 25, 2019. He was surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Kelly Ann Duncan Meyer and his three children with former wife Cheryl Bohn Meyer Dane; Jennifer, Michael and wife Melissa, Chris and wife Amy.
He was also blessed with nine grandchildren, Lindsey and husband Andrew, Miranda, Michael, Jessica, Katelyn, Evan, Emma, Abby and Peter. He also enjoyed spending time with his great grandson, Landon.
Bob is also survived by his handsome brother Jim and wife Marlys as well as his favorite sister Kathy. As the oldest child, Bob “made the rules”, Jim as the middle child, “the reason the rules were made” and Kathy as the youngest, “the rules did not apply to her”.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Carol Meyer. He was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. After graduating Murray High School, he served in the Army during the Viet Nam war where he was stationed in Korea.
Bob retired from 3M after 33 years. He held several different positions in St. Paul, Minnesota and Austin, Texas. After his retirement, he worked for the Texas Rangers Baseball team for 12 years as a Gate Supervisor. He loved this job and greatly missed his Rangers family.
