Robert “Bob” L. Gilmore

Robert “Bob” L. Gilmore, 85, of Granbury, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022.   Service: 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 7, 2022, Wiley Funeral Home Chapel, Granbury, Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the funeral home.  Graveside service: 1:30 PM, Tuesday, June 14, 2022, Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery under the direction of Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury.  

Bob was born on December 11, 1936 in Oregon to Fred and Nellie Gilmore.  He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from June 14, 1954 – March 31, 1977; he earned a Bronze Star.  He was a member of the American Legion “Post 491” for 36 years and a longstanding member of the VFW Post 7835. Bob was a retiree from Lockheed Martin.

Bob was a faithful man of prayer; he loved the Lord.  He married the love of his life, Sandy Tidwell 21 years ago on November 5, 2001 in Granbury. They were beautiful together and brought out the best in one another. Sandy and Bob traveled together and built a beautiful life together

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Fred Gilmore, and daughter: Susie Nance.

Bob is survived by his wife: Sandra Gilmore, children: Chris Gilmore and his wife Cindy, Charles Tidwell Gilmore and his wife Cathy, and Marina Hall and her husband Ronnie, grandsons: Ross Gilmore and Robert Hall, niece: Stephanie Reed, and one great-granddaughter.
