Seventy-Six-year-old Robert (Bob) Lloyd Nance Jr. of Granbury, Texas, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020. Bob was born on July 14, 1944, to Robert Lloyd Nance Sr. and Ellen Lloraine Nance. He spent happy childhood years in Roswell, New Mexico, and then moved with his parents and three younger brothers to Fort Worth, Texas.
After graduating from the University of Houston, Bob began his career as a pharmacist. He has worked in the pharmacies of Brookshires Grocery chain for many years. He researched every medicine carefully and always looked out for the customers. His family and friends often relied on him for his expertise.
Bob married Gwen Nance in 1988. Each brought children to the union and forged a family together. They enjoyed their homes in Arlington, Hamilton, and finally, Granbury, Texas.
In Granbury, they attended Pecan Baptist Church. They said their hearts had found a church family that made them feel loved and cared for in a life changing way. Bob supported the growth and mission of this church as well as many other mission programs.
Bob jumped at any chance to play games with friends and family. He always aimed to make them laugh and liven up the party.
He passionately and vigorously played the piano for anyone who would listen, at any hour of the day or night, including 2:00 a.m. He also loved hearing his grandson, Mitchel play.
Bob was never afraid of death; he knew he would join those who had gone before him in heaven. Those who preceded him were his parents, Bob and Ellen Nance; his wife, Gwen Nance; and his son, Brett Nance.
Those who remain to celebrate the life he lived are:
Daughter, Kristi Crafton and husband, Matt: Grandchildren, Anne, Sophie, Maggie, and Bennett of Rogers, Arkansas
