GRANBURY — Robert E. “Bob” Rich, 81, passed away Friday, August 22, 2014 in Granbury. Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lakeside Baptist Church. Interment: Holly Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wiley Funeral Home. Memorials: Happy Hill Farm or Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch.
Robert was born March 13, 1933 in Scottsville, Kentucky to Odes Lee and Delma D. Reynolds Rich. He married Nona Ann Hays on May 12, 1990 in Dallas.
Robert was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army and a transportation executive for many years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Delta Nu Alpha Transportation Fraternity, American Transportation Association Management Council and Lakeside Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Odes Rich; mother, Delma O’Shea; brother, Glenn Rich; step-daughter, Janis Crook; daughter, Wendy Mullins; and grandparents, Charles and Cora Reynolds.
Survivors: Wife, Nona A. Rich of Granbury; sons, Steve Rich and wife, Shelly of Clayton, Ind., Scott Rich and wife, Jerri of Pendleton, Ind., Mark Rich and wife, Sheila of Grapevine and Michael “Rocky” Rich and wife, Melissa of McKinney; daughter, Robin White and husband, Jeff of Salem, Ind.; step-son, Jim Smith and wife, Pam of Coppell; 20 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.
