Robert Edward (Bob) Ohr peacefully fell asleep on April 8, 2017 at 78 years of age.
Bob was born October 10, 1938, in Saint Paul, MN, to the late Robert F. Ohr and Florence J. Goldman. Bob’s father was career Army, so his childhood was spent traveling the world. Bob enjoyed traveling throughout his life.
Bob proudly served in the U.S. Army and then spent most of his adult life in Ft. Worth. He attended TCU, receiving his degree in Geology. His love for rocks grew into careers in Geology and Lapidary. He was a very talented stone cutter and jeweler becoming the Master Jeweler of Ft. Worth and the surrounding area for many years. He enjoyed taking his family on many camping trips in search of rocks and minerals. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth Ohr.
Survivors: Daughters, Maria Carden and husband, Dusty, of Glen Rose, Laura Ohr-Watson and husband, Rob, of Weatherford, Son, Robert S. Ohr and wife, Chris, of Weatherford, Granddaughters, Shannon Horne, of Weatherford, Alexis Carden, of Glen Rose, Brother, Michael Ohr and wife, Carolyn, of Fayetteville, AR and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service with military honors was held to honor Bob on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Grand Prairie, Texas.
