Robert Lavern Goetz

Robert Lavern Goetz, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021. Graveside service: 1:00 PM, Friday, March 26, 2021, Crown Hill Memorial Park, Dallas.

Robert was born on January 1, 1923 in Deerfield, Michigan to Fred John Goetz and Ruth Ann Neuman Goetz. At the age of 11, the family moved to the Byron, Georgia area.  He married Alice Mildred McLean on May 21, 1944. The family moved to Texas in June 1959. Robert was transferred to Dallas with Inland Container Corporation. Around 1970, Robert and Alice opened a day care (Windmill Conservatory) in Lewisville Texas and later added the second day care (Quail Valley). Robert married Alyce Jo Bergh on March 6, 1987, and they lived in Richardson.  He retired in 2014, after many successful years owning and operating day cares.  Robert outlived his wives and two of his brothers. Robert is survived by his children: Alice LaVerne Walker, and Robert Michael Goetz, grandchildren: Michelle Berry of Tolar, TX and her husband Jason Berry, Angela Crabbe of Granbury, TX and her husband Brian Crabbe, Keri Shay Johnson of Buda TX and her husband Shane Johnson, and John Michael Goetz; great- grandchildren, Jordan Berry, Justin Berry, Tanner Crabbe, Paris Johnson Wensmann, Reese Johnson, Samantha Johnson, and Dominique Goetz; great-great-grandchildren: Piper Wensmann and Pressley Wensmann; and two sisters and three brothers.
