Roger Horton, 64, passed away August 4, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas. A visitation will be held from 1pm – 8pm, with family to receive friends from 6pm – 8pm on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Martin’s Funeral Home in Granbury, Texas. A service will be held at 11am on Monday, August 9, 2021 at Tolar Baptist Church in Tolar, Texas. Interment will follow at Granbury Cemetery.

 

Roger was born August 10 1956 in Pecos, Texas to Ezra Horton and Irene Osborn. He loved fishing, hunting, and playing sports with the grandkids. He loved to stir up the grandbabies before bed time. Also, he earned the title of “Dad Joke Specialist.” Roger loved Jesus first and foremost.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

 

Roger is survived by his wife: Cynde Horton; sons: Joe Horton, Dakodah Horton, Trevor Horton and wife Tori; grandchildren: Jake, Harley, Dominic, Spencer; Maw-in-law: Jan Holliday; and many loving brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous extended family.
