Ron Ernst

Ronald William Ernst, 77, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015. Funeral service: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Wiley Funeral Home; Visitation: one hour prior to the service. Burial: 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Dallas / Fort Worth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please give to the American Cancer Society.
Ron was born April 22, 1938 in Buffalo, NY to Clarence and Ruth Ann Ernst. He was a Mason and served our country in the U.S. Air Force retiring as a Master Sargent. He was reactivated and served in Desert Storm. Ron worked as an electrician for Bell Helicopter for 35 years. He enjoyed hunting and farming in Bowie, TX. He was a leader of Lillie’s Rainbow Girls Troop. He met Judy Lindsey through his Commanding Officer (Judy’s step father); they married February 18, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church in Cleburne where he and Judy were members. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother William.
Survivors: wife Judy Ernst; daughters Lillie Ernst, Mary Sylva, Darla Hightower and husband Randall; grandchildren Tommy and wife Chelsea, Sarah, Gage, Kaden, Logan; great grandchild Shya; brothers Larry and Peter Ernst and aunt Pat Records.
