Ronald Dean Rivers left to be with his heavenly Father, Sunday, November 23, 2014.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Biggers Funeral Home.

He was born July 29, 1958, in Amarillo to J.T. and Bobbie Rivers, and graduated from Boswell High School in 1976.

He was preceded in death by his father, J.T. and a sister, Becky.

Ronnie is leaving a legacy known to all for his love, loyalty and compassion he had for friends and family.

He is survived by his mother, Bobbie Rivers Smith and her husband, James; sister, Terry Rivers; best mate, Carla Mitchell; nephews, Jerrad and Josh; nieces, Jamie and Jodi, Jessica and Britney; aunts, uncles and cousins; and many, many friends.

Oh, Ms Carla my thoughts are with you today. Ronnie was truly a heart felt guy, and is taking a piece of each of us with him. Our lives are better for having known him.
