GLEN ROSE — Ronald Martin “Ronnie” Godfrey, Sr., 71, passed away Monday, Nov. 2, 2015, in Fort Worth.
Memorial service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, at the Glen Rose First Baptist Church.

Ronnie was born Feb. 23, 1944, in Miami, Fla., to Harold V. Godfrey and Myrtle T. Smith Godfrey. He had lived in Glen Rose since 2006 and was a member of First Baptist Church. Ronnie was a well respected Energy Star Home Builder and had built homes in Crowley, Burleson and the Fort Worth area. He was involved in the Boy Scouts, loved hunting, fishing, horses and cowboy poetry. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Janis Godfrey, and son, Marty Godfrey.
Survivors: Wife, Suz Godfrey of Glen Rose; sons, Ben Godfrey and wife, Alysha, of Cameron, Texas, Justin Godfrey and wife, Jennie, of Crowley; daughter-in-law, Susan Godfrey of Coperas Cove, Texas; grandchildren, Colt, Abby, Emily, Rebecca, Riley, Grace, Lilly; brothers, Kenneth Godfrey and wife, Kay, of Harker Heights, Billy Godfrey and wife, Jan, of Fort Worth; and several nieces and nephews.
