Ronald “Ron” Craig Barker, age 73, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at his home with his family present.

Interment: 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2021 in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Ron was born September 15, 1947 in Osaka, Japan to the late Virgil and Margaret Barker. He was a graduate of Eastern Hills High School. Ron joined the Air Force and had three tours in Vietnam. He served as crew chief on Air Force I for two U.S. presidents.
Later, he became a deputy sheriff for Tarrant County and retired after 22 years. He married Olivia Stocks in 1979 and became the step-father to Christina, Sharon, and Scott. Ron was a member of Northwest Church of Christ. Ron and Olivia enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and abroad. He had a special ability to reach people in a deep and positive way.
Survivors: His Wife, Olivia Barker of Fort Worth, Texas; children, Christina and Don Wagner of Weatherford, Texas, Sharon and Mark Greeson of Midlothian, Texas, and Scott and Debra Smith of Graham, Texas; grandchildren, Ryon Smith, Austin Greeson, Christy Hamilton, Tyler Smith, Aaron Greeson, Jordan Wagner, and Tanner Smith; and many loved great-grandchildren.
