Ronny David Davidson

Ronny David Davidson, a wonderful provider and a kindhearted, and faithful husband, a passionate Christian, son, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, passed away due to a farm equipment accident on Thursday, December 22, 2016.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 30, at Bethesda Community Church, 4700 North Beach Street. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. at Whitt Cemetery, Whitt, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 29, at the funeral home.

Since Ron was the one to attend to the plants at our home, in lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to one of the ministries we supported or went on mission trips with: Fort Worth Teen Challenge, P.O. Box 731, Fort Worth, 76101, Manna Worldwide, 4255 W. Risinger, Fort Worth, 76123, or Adonnai Missions, c/o Bethesda Community Church.

Ron was born to Jasper V. and Ilamaye Earlene Davidson in Gatesville, on October 1, 1953. As a child, his father became an Assemblies of God minister and the family eventually settled in Whitt, Texas. He attended school in Perrin and Embry Riddle University.

He served in the Army and the Army National Guard before going to work with the FAA, where he worked as an air traffic controller, and numerous other positions for 30 plus years. After retirement from the FAA, he became a flight attendant for American Airlines for a short period of time, where he enjoyed interacting with people. He also had his private pilot’s license. Even while working with the FAA and American Airlines, he viewed himself as a farmer, raising cattle, bailing hay, building fences, and taking care of his parent’s property in Whitt.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jasper V. Davidson; and a daughter, Rhonda Michelle.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Null Davidson; his mother, Earlene Davidson; sons, Ronny Dee Davidson and wife, Kim and Michael Davidson and partner, Jen Lockard; stepsons, Jody Null and wife, Jana, and Cody Null; daughter-in-law, Eva Null; sisters, Scherry Webb and husband, Johnny, Patty Stam and husband, Dale and Jeanne Shirley and husband, Keith; grandchildren, Hannah and Griffin Davidson, Valerie, Leila, and Aiden Null and Caleb and Chloe Null; numerous nieces, nephews and their spouses and children.
