Rosa Cathy Strawn

Rosa Cathy Strawn, better known as Cathy a longtime resident of Granbury, Tx passed away surrounded by family on March 16^th, 2021 at the age of 91 years old.

Cathy is survived by her children; David-Debbie Strawn, Mary Babb; her grandchildren; Joe-Heather Zahaczewski, Roxanna-Tim Dabney, Chris-Debbie Zahaczewski, Katie-Isaac Jones, Amy-Arnoldo Medina, David-Katrina Strawn; her great grandchildren, Jacob Zahaczewski, Joshua Zahaczewski, Keirken Clifton, Dylan jones, William Jr Jones, Marinna Medina, Adan Medina, Anabelle Dabney, L’anna Coddington, Christopher Good.

Cathy was born in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania on August 23, 1929 to Emma Wise and Ira C. Moore. She married William David Strawn March 23rd, 1949. Cathy was a devoted stay at home mom for many years raising her 3 children. In 1960 Cathy and her family moved to Redondo Beach California where she worked many years at a sewing factory. As the children grew up Cathy and William begin to drive semi-trucks cross country. In 1981 Cathy moved to Dublin Texas, where her and William ran a dairy cleaning business. In 1987 Cathy moved to Granbury Texas, where she worked in telemarketing for 20 plus years.

Cathy was a loving mother, a caring grandmother, and affectionate great grandmother. She was a spiritual person and involved in many years of church activities. One of her many joys in life was crocheting. There was not a limit on what she could do with a hook and yarn. Anyone that knew Cathy and considered her a friend more than likely has something she crocheted. She was a great storyteller and would tell anyone willing to listen stories of yester years. She will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all that knew her.
