Keith & Linda Graf left a message on March 23, 2017:
Dear Carey Family, I first met Roy over Thanksgiving shortly after my husband and I were married. We were at my husband’s Granny’s house (Ruth Graf) in Vernon. Roy just showed up at the door and gave me one of the biggest hugs. I quickly learned that this was the infamous Roy that everyone talked about and what a special part of our family he was. Keith and I always enjoyed seeing Roy on our visits to Granny’s and when we lost her one of the things that we missed most about going to her house was seeing Roy. We were so happy to see him a few weeks ago at Traci’s and had a very nice visit. He was his usual self. Happy full of sports trivia and stories. He had the best smile. Thank you for sharing him with our family over the years. We will never forget him and he will always be a special part of our family memories. We regret that we were unable to attend his services to celebrate his life with you all in person but we were unable to get away from as Roy would laugh when we called it, The People’s Republic of Austin. Kind regards and much love, Keith & Linda Graf
