My memories of uncle Roy are few but very good ones. He was one year younger than dad. Dad was 28 when I was born. So uncle Roy was well into his 30’s when I started remembering different things- I’m sure I was in my teens when I realized how handsome he was. Also at reunions he always made a point to talk with everyone. He was at my dad’s funeral and sat next to me. At that emotional time, Uncle Roy shared a bit of his and dad’s childhood. He always was so kind and caring. You always think at the passing of a loved one, “wish I could talk with him one more time”. I have no doubt Uncle Roy would be the same, asking how everyone is. Rest In Peace Uncle Roy.

My Uncle Roy was my dad’s younger brother by a year. Dad was 28 when I was born. So uncle Roy was out and married before I knew him. I knew him as an adult and he was so kind. And very handsome! He was at my dad’s funeral and sat next to me and shared their childhood days with me. Last time I saw him was at a reunion in Fisk Missouri a few years ago. He made a point to talk with me. I remember him being a quiet man, and caring.
