Roy Lee Adams

Roy Lee Adams, 70, of Newark, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, August 9, 2015.

A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Eagle Mountain International Church, 14355 Morris Dido Road.

Memorial gifts may be made to The American Center for Law and Justice or the National Rifle Association.

Roy Lee Adams was born to the late Claude “Hop” and Juanita Adams. From an early age, he was raised by his mother and step-father, Russell R. Yocham. Roy married Eudora “Dory” Pettit on December 26, 1964 in Rankin, Texas. He was a devoted Christian who never met a stranger. He loved hunting, fishing, his family and doing for others. Roy was preceded in death by his parents and step-father.

Survivors include his wife, Dory; his children, Kimberly C. Lytle and husband George, Kristy L. Baker and husband Ron, Roy Adams, Jr. and wife Katrina; brothers, Claude H. Adams and wife Brenda, Walter “Randy” Yocham and wife Alpha; sister, Evelyn J. Smith and husband Tony; 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
