Ruth was born July 10, 1940, in Granbury, to Dee and Florence Thompson Hopper. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, Mae Bell Perry, Virginia Stembridge, Edna Stembridge, Lloyd Hopper, Gladys Molder, and J.D. Hopper.
Survivors: Children, Netra VonHeeder and husband, Dale, of Austin, Texas, Patrick Ward and wife, Pearl, of Granbury, Belinda Gutierrez and husband, George, of Waxahachie; grandchildren, Jonathan Bruce Ward and wife, Kenda, Candice Brooke Smith, Wesley Ryan Smith and wife, Natalie; great grandchildren, Tyler Euegene Hall, Kannon Bruce Ward, Gunner Dwayne Ward, Isebellea Brooke Smith.
