Sharon Rae (Myers) Graber was born August 7, 1941 in Plymouth, Indiana to William “Ray” and Ruth Myers. She was the youngest of two children.
After high school, Sharon went to business school in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She married Ralph Graber on August 10, 1962 and within five years they moved to Washington, Iowa where they raised three children together. In 1989, they settled in Fort Worth, Texas.
Sharon worked as a secretary and office manager, however her greatest fulfillment came from providing support to her husband and family through her years as a homemaker. She is known for her delicious “no frills” home cooked meals, her scheduled daily routine, and she loved the gift of fresh flowers, particularly yellow roses.
Sharon and Ralph loved traveling together, especially to a place where Sharon could sit and stare at the ocean. That’s where she was the happiest. She also enjoyed going to casinos, Nascar racing, crossword puzzles, watching TV, taking naps, and having an afternoon cocktail. She never owned a cell phone or a computer of her own, but she wrote letters to her family and friends often. We will greatly miss her pretty blue eyes and her “golden” hair.
She was preceded in death by her Sister and brother-in-law. Ruth “Babe” and Richard “Dick” Schweisberger.
Survivors: Husband of 56 years, Ralph P Graber; children, Rob Graber (Cyndi), Rae-Ann Daniel (Mike), Regina Graber; grandchildren, Tyler Daniel, Ryan Daniel, Lyndsie Graber, Abby Graber; niece, Rebecca Shelton; nephew, Rick Schweisberger; and numerous friends she considered family.
