Sharron Ann Ferguson passed peacefully from this life on November 13, 2020 at the age of 76.
Service: A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Sharron’s name to the Micheal J. Fox Parkinson’s Foundation.
She was the daughter of Robert Ernest Nauert and Lola Maxine Bales-Nauert who preceded her in death. Sharron was a lifelong native of Fort Worth, Texas and graduated from Eastern Hills High School in 1962 where she enjoyed teaching tumbling.
Sharron enjoyed going to church and was very active in her youth groups at both Polytechnic Baptist Church and Sagamore Hill Baptist Church in Fort Worth. She was married to the love of her life, John Ferguson, in October of 1969 and they were blessed with 51 years together.
Sharron worked with her family managing numerous Fort Worth restaurants throughout her life including: Bonanza, Frankleburgers, I Love Yogurt, Cecils’s on the Creek and River Oaks Steak House. She was a favorite among customers and the employees she worked with. She always had a smile and a kind word for anyone she met.
Sharron enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed attending their football games and cheerleading competitions and encouraging them in all their pursuits. She loved antiques and gardening and was always happiest on the hunt for the next fabulous find, moving her furniture around and planting while enjoying the beautiful outdoors. Sharron will forever be remembered for her sense of humor and keeping everyone in stitches with her contagious laugh and ability to bring humor to most any situation. She had the ability to make everyone she met feel like family and was the mother figure to many people she knew.
Survivors: She was the beloved wife of John Ferguson; treasured mother to Chad Ferguson and his wife, Leanne Garner Ferguson; cherished grandmother to Lane and Ava Ferguson; she is also survived by her loving sister, Barbara, and brother-in-law, Kenneth Stone, as well as many other family members.
