Shelley Ward Peiffer went to be with Jesus on Sunday, December 19, 2021. She passed away peacefully in her home in Saginaw.

 

Funeral service: 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in Biggers Funeral Chapel

 

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Shelley’s name to St. Jude at www.stjude.org or Vitas Hospice at www.vitas.com

 

Shelley was born in Jackson, Miss. on January 9, 1953, to the late James G. and Mary Ward.  She was married to Dr. Arthur L. Peiffer on February 22, 1997.  Throughout her life, Shelley had a passion for helping others, as evidenced by the many lives she touched through rehabilitation programs she was associated with.  Shelley was a devout Christian and loved to share her faith with others.  She was also a passionate fan of Alabama football and will surely be yelling “Roll Tide” from heaven in the upcoming games.

 

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to her many friends and Vitas Hospice for assisting with her care.

 

Shelley was preceded in death by her parents, JG and Mary; and her husband, Dr. Arthur L. Peiffer.

 

She is survived by many loving family members and friends that will miss her dearly.
