Carol Janelle Smith left a message on October 2, 2019:
What can I possibly say about my beautiful sister that hasn't been said already? She certainly has left a huge hole in everyone's hearts. She touched so many people in her short 73 years and never once met a stranger. So vivacious, witty, highly intelligent, giving -- these added to her obvious physical beauty. What a fiercely loyal mother, g-mother, sister, and friend. But her greatest passion in this life centered around the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ; studying, learning, teaching, sharing. Steadfast and unmovable to the end. There are 2 things that do bring me comfort and even joy about her home-going; 1) she left this life without lingering or suffering. 2) The most obvious is I know she is with her Lord, the One whom she loved above all others. My loving, precious sister and best friend has fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. Yes Sherry, I will see you later. I do so love you!

A precious cousin that holds many memories when we were just kids, along with Carol, her sister. Her Dad, my Uncle Robbie came and stayed in our home a lot and her Mom was the sweetest, most gentle and beautiful lady, again such wonderful memories. Sherra and I were not as close as the years passed and our paths went in so distant locations. However, the good side of Facebook brought a connection in the last few years as did funerals of our relatives. She was most evident a beautiful, faithful and loving Christian and we shared that most important commonality. Though I know she will be truly missed by her children, who she loved and had her heart, we all know it will only be a short time before we see her again. I can picture her sitting at rhe feet of Jesus today and expressing her deep love and devotion as well as enjoying a grand reunion with her family that arrived a bit earlier. We, who know the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, as she did, will join that reunion and see her again. It is my prayer, and I know hers, as well, to see ALL our family members to join us in Heaven... will always love her and hold my memories dearto my heart! God bless all our sweet children, and grandchildren and her sweet sister, Carol, with the comfort and peace that only Jesus could give. Because of Jesus, Nadine Tubb
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Sherra Ann Tarpley came into my life 1970. From the moment we met we became sisters of the heart and spirit. She brought so much joy and love in my life. We truly loved each other, prayed for each other all the time. Her laughter was infectious, her support unwaivering, her love for the Lord Jesus Christ and His word unquestionable. I stayed with her and her family in their home in Burleson, Tx in i983 when she and her husband Kenneth picked me up from Dalla after a Conference that I had attended. We all stayed up that evening till all hours of the night. Then she said you are sleeping with me and I said what about Kenneth, she said Kenneth told me he wanted you to sleep with me in our comfortable bed, that had a messager and heat and it could recline, he said she needs it after running and staying up at her confrence, We talked and laughed and had such fun that whole weekend. I also, visited her the week after Thanksgiving in 2017 and she visited me again June of 2019 with her loving and sweet sister Carol. Every time we were together was such a blessing and fun and of course, always talked about our Lord. Every time that we would talk on the phone, she would say if I don't see you here, I will see you there, meaning in heaven. I know without a doubt that her spirit is with the Lord, "absent of the body, present with the Lord" ! I chersish her memory and every second of the 48 years we had known and loved each other and I look forward to seeing her again "there/heaven" where there is no pain, no sorrows and all tears are wiped away. I send my heartfelt condolences and prayers to her loving children, grandchildren and their families whom Sherra loved so very much, Chris, Dean, Tina and to her loving and loyal sister Carol and their families. I will miss and love Sherra so much and do pray for her children and grandchildren, Sister and all their families that te Holy Spirit will comfort their hearts and give them His peace. With love, Sada
