Sherri Renee Rusnak

November 12, 1959 - September 6, 2015

Sherri Renee Rusnak, 55, passed away Sunday September 6, 2015.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Biggers Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Sherri was born November 12, 1959 in Fort Worth to Haskell and Maurine Langford. She was a 1979 graduate of Castleberry High School and worked as a mortgage servicing agent for American Airlines before retiring after 20 years of service.

Sherri never met a stranger and had a huge heart for loving others. She loved to shop and was always buying things for her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband William G. Rusnak of River Oaks: sister, Doris Voorhees and husband Steve; brothers-in-law, George Rusnak and wife Shannon and Ken Rusnak and wife Sue; mother-in-law, Nadiye Rusnak; five nephews and one niece.

Sherri was an angel before she left this earth. She was a dedicated daughter who, while barely leaving her twenties, kindly cared for her elderly parents and with dignity and compassion endured their passing. As Will's wife, she was equally committed. One need only catch a glance between them to see the love and admiration they held for one another. A true friend, in fact mine for 45 years, Sherri would drop whatever she was doing to come to the aid of her friends. If you were her friend, you know how very blessed you were. Her smile and her giggle will linger forever in my heart and my fondest memories.
