Shirley Duncan began her everlasting life with her Lord, Saviour and Friend on February 3, 2021. Shirley was born to this life November 10, 1944 to Travis Lee and Murl Miller Lee. She grew up in Lipan and Granbury. She met her future husband Bryan Fate Duncan in Lipan where they married on October 2, 1959.
Shirley and Bryan made their life together in Fort Worth where they raised their three children Billy, Timothy and Angela.
Shirley became a key punch operator and worked at Commercial Computer, LTV, and Bell Helicopter. After her husband passed Shirley returned to Lipan and started a new vocation as a pharmacy technician at Granbury Drug and then with MHMR in Stephenville.
Shirley was blessed to raise her oldest grandson Bryan Christopher Duncan and during this time became Mam-mam to most of the children in Lipan.
Shirley was an amazing hand-embroiderer and quilter. Her work was always one of joy and love. She was blessed to practice her craft until shortly before her home going.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her in-laws George and Bea Duncan, her child Timothy Duncan and her brother Don Lee.
Shirley is survived by her son Billy Duncan and daughter Angela Duncan Ragan and husband Eddie Ragan. Her grandchildren: Bryan Christopher Duncan and wife Amanda; Kyle Duncan and wife Holli; Nicole Duncan Bezich and husband Steve; Amanda Covey, Daniel Covey and Travis Ragan. Her great-grandchildren Bryan’s daughter Emilee Beatrice Duncan, Daniel’s children Xavier Covey, Justin Covey and Kyle’s son Jace Duncan.
She is also survived by her siblings Bobbie Anderson, Teresa Stovall, Donna Watson, Samantha Fox and Mike Cole, numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
