Shirley was born Sept. 24, 1935 in Bomarton, TX to Amos Richard and Elsie Thomas Glass. She married Thomas Andy McClelen in 1954 in Fort Worth. She was a member of Thorp Spring Church of Christ and enjoyed traveling, painting with oils and water, writing poetry, knitting, crocheting, reading, bird watching and singing. Shirley received a Golden Award for poetry and an Associate Degree in Library Science and Art from the American River Jr. College. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on June 25, 2016; and a baby sister.
Survivors: Sons, Kenneth “Richard” and wife, Marla McClelen and Stephen Randal and wife, Janet McClelen; grandchildren, Andy and Tammy McClelen, Marlita and Stephen Windham, Keisha and Brian Gage, Jennifer and Brandon Duncan and Jeff McClelen; 14 great grandchildren; and sister, Peggy Jane and husband, Ray Leach.
