Stanley “Mac” McDonald, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 12, 2014 surrounded by his family.
The family will hold a private committal service in Waco at a later date. A reception will be held at Candy McDonald’s home from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, December 18, for those wanting to pay their respects.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to a charity of choice.
Mac was born to Anthony and Myrtle McDonald on February 7, 1927, in Wisner, Louisiana. He moved to White Settlement in 1952 where he was an automobile mechanic. Mac was a loving and caring father who devoted his whole life to his family.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Community Hospice and his nurse, Sharon, for her loving care and support.
Mac was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Lana McDonald; and a son, Robert “Big Bob” McDonald.
He is survived by his daughter, Peggy McLemore and husband, Lynn; daughter, Sharon Lovelady and husband, Don; son, Steve McDonald; daughter, Candy McDonald; stepchildren, Janice Brown, Scott Sanders, Doug Sanders and Rusty Sanders; grandchildren whom he cherished, Stacy Eastman, Chris McLemore, Bret Lovelady, Douglas Sanders, Tiffany Moreno, Robert Sanders, Amanda Sanders, Wyatt Sanders and Quinn Sanders; and seven great-grandchildren and another on the way.
