Stella Jane Hodel, 65, of Lipan, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2019. Stella was born in Rosiclare, Illinois on August 29, 1953 to Benjamin and Naomi Ruth Davis. In 1965, she moved to Texas. In 1971, Stella graduated third in her class from Lipan High School, where she was manager of the girls’ basketball team, an officer in FHA and a member of the Beta Club. In 1975, she graduated from Tarleton State University with a BBA in Business and Education. On September 19, 1992, she married Michael Hodel. She and her Husband Mike have been long time residents of Lipan.
Stella lived a beautiful life as a Christian. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lipan. She lived out her faith as a Christian in her devotion to her Family: as a Wife to Mike, Daughter in Law to Essie and Vernon Hodel, Niece, and Cousin. She and Mike always enjoyed and participated together in Family Events for the Harmon and Hodel Families. God and Family were very important to her.
Stella worked professionally in banking at several financial institutions. She served as secretary and treasurer of the Evergreen Cemetery Committee. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Lipan and she served the Church as a secretary and financial officer. She loved animals, especially cats. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Stella is survived by her Husband, Mike, and numerous cousins and friends.
