Stella Mae Legan Davis went to her heavenly home on Monday, June 3, 2013.
A ceremony celebrating her life will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lighthouse Fellowship Methodist Church. Pastor Frank Briggs and Dr. Gary Kindley will officiate.

Stella Mae Legan was born in Mount Calm to Elbert and Ima Legan on November 15, 1919. She graduated from Mart High School in 1936 and moved to Fort Worth where she was employed by Consolidated Aircraft as a “Rosie the Riveter” during World War II. Stella married Donald F. Davis on January 16, 1946; he preceded her in death on March 20, 1982. She was also preceded in death by a son, Chadwick Lynn Davis.
Mrs. Davis served faithfully at Wichita Avenue Methodist Church and Lighthouse Fellowship Church and was an active member of United Methodist Women. She enjoyed being a member of Lake Country Garden Club and a book club. Her avid hobby was sewing and in her later years she began quilting, winning numerous awards for her quilting excellence.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Martha Davis of Highland Village; her beloved grandson, Heath Davis; and great-granddaughter, Autumn Grace Davis.
