Steven D. Hunt

Steven D. Hunt, 59, of Granbury passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 Noon, Monday, February 14, 2022 at Stonewater Church in Granbury.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, K9 for Warriors in Steve Hunt’ s memory.

Steven was born on March 29, 1962 in Bluffton, Indiana to Richard and Barbara Hunt.  He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for nine years, serving during Operation Desert Storm.  He was a Senior buyer at Lockheed Martin.

Steven married Gretchen Lea Kolstad on September 5, 1981 in Bluffton, Indiana   He really loved people and he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and his dog Lexi.  He was an excellent cook and he enjoyed sharing his cooking with those that he loved.

Steven loved golf, golf, and golf and he was “Ambassador” of DeCordova.  He enjoyed Texas music, Hallmark Christmas movies, relaxing on the beaches in Mexico and Florida and was an avid Oklahoma University Sooners fan.

Steven was a longtime member of Acton United Methodist Church, and he was a generous and tremendous mentor to young men.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Steven is survived by his loving wife, Gretchen Hunt, sons: Jeremiah Hunt and his wife Julia, and Joshua Hunt and his wife Kasey, grandsons: James and Jason, sisters: Gloria Hunt and her husband Gary and Angela Pfister and her husband Tim, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
