Stewart T. Blackwell

Stewart T. Blackwell, 48, passed away Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment: Jaybird Cemetery in Parker County. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Biggers Funeral Home.

Stewart was born Dec. 17, 1963, in Luling to Jesse Thomas and Linda Blackwell. He attended grade school in Luling, graduated from Gonzales High School and in 1982 moved to Fort Worth to attend Tarrant County Junior College. On Dec. 3, 1983, he married Donna Hutchison in LaJunta.

His passion was working on vehicles and in 1985 he went to work for Rollins Truck Leasing as a diesel mechanic. He currently was the service manager for Penske Truck Leasing.

Stewart loved spending time with his family playing with his granddaughters and letting them sit on his knees. He also enjoyed going to the coast and sitting on the jetties watching the large ships go by.

He was preceded in death by his father on June 19, 1998.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Donna Blackwell; sons, Justin Ray Blackwell and Nathan James Blackwell; mother, Linda Stevens and husband, Oscar; grandmother, Joy Belle Blackwell; brother, James C. Blackwell; sister, Ana Blackwell; grandchildren, Zoie Reigh Blackwell and Haylee Dawn Blackwell.
