Sue was born on August 25, 1939 to George W. and Ruby Mae Ford. She graduated from Baylor University. She married James G. White in 1957 in Houston, Texas. She was an executive assistant at several companies throughout Texas. She married James Claude Smith in 1992 in Bryan, Texas. Sue loved going to First Baptist Church in Granbury. Some of her favorite things were to go RVing, to watch the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers, and especially to spend time with her family and grandchildren.
Sue is survived by her husband: Jim Smith, her children: Tim White and wife Julie White, Joan White and husband Mickey White, her grandchildren: Anthony and wife Leah White, Amanda White, Jerad White and fiancé Vanessa Thiele, Justin and wife Carly White, and Austin White, her great grandchildren: Austin White, Nicole Petschel, Landon White, Aubrie White, and Arabella White, her stepchildren: Matthew Smith and wife Kim, James Richard Smith and wife Cathy, Carrie Thigpin and husband Terry, her step grandchildren: Blake Thigpin and Bryan Thigpin, her brothers: Dr. Wally Ford and wife Loise, Wayne Ford and wife Liz, her aunt: Cornilia Oldham, her two poodles Suzette and Sadie, and her two cats, Aggie and Pepe’.
